Born in Stockholm in the year of 1900 and died in 1983 in the same city.

He was already as a 17 year old, inspired by Gösta Adrian Nilsson’s colorful and dynamic art. In the year of 1925, he moved to Berlin and studied to become a medical doctor for three years while at the same time continuing his piano studies. He gradually began to study art and came into contact with Kandinsky and Klee. He experimented also from time to time with sculpture much influenced by Archipenko and Zadkin. He then moved to Paris, where in 1928 had his debute at Galerie Mots et Image. After that he continued his studies traveling in Europe, North Africa and the Near East.
